Restaurants in Phuket
When abroad, dining out is one of my greatest loves so I tend to aim for as many meals as possible. My latest vacation trip sent me to Phuket and my gastronomic urgency was satiated by the wonderful restaurants in Phuket.
The specialty in the restaurants in Phuket is seafood, and what a treat that is: wonderfully inexpensive, fresh, well cooked and, well, just great. The oysters are absolutely to die for.
Naturally though seafood isn’t the only food that you can get in restaurants in Phuket – as nice as it is that would lead to something of an overload – and you can take your pick from traditional Thai dishes and there is even a seemingly endless number of Western restaurants in Phuket, for those who do not want to be too adventurous! If you’re looking for restaurants in Phuket, you usually won’t have to go far, as restaurants and food vendors line the streets.
One of the beauties about a place so very rich in food is that you do not have to pay through the nose for the privilege of eating excellent quality food. In fact it should be noted that higher prices do not usually indicate better quality food; generally higher prices in restaurants in Phuket just mean that the venue is more prestigious.
Definitely worth a visit, even if just for the wonderful food. PhuketVogue.com is a nice little site I found that is good for pointing out some of the more authentic restaurants.
