Phuket Bars
Phuket bars are unlike anything many western travelers have ever experienced. The Phuket bars are usually small open-air affairs with seating for perhaps 20 or 30 patrons; being in Phuket, of course, the outdoor bars are usually good for all night parties as the weather stays pleasant throughout.
Many bars will position a number of attractive girls in the bar to attract in Western males. Many mistake these girls for ladies of the night when, in fact, they’re usually just there to make a little money. Some people think that they’re just being friendly or that they are ‘interested’ in them; unfortunately this is usually not the case.
Girls in Phuket bars may be armed with a game of Connect-4, Jenga, or some other frivolity. The girls are experienced hustlers so don’t expect to win; the loser usually pays for the drinks.
The girls in Phuket bars are there to make a living; they are also there to make the place look nice and to attract people into the establishment. Accept this and you can still enjoy their company and enjoy their games, just don’t think that you’re going to be going home with the young lady at the end of the night.
