iPling migthy is yet to be discovered by iPhone users
I am the biggest fan of the iPhone in the world. Perhaps. I’m nearly 40 stone… no, only joking, but I am very fond of the little gadget. I’ve just got one of the 3G iPhones and I’ve got to say I’m impressed. What’s more impressive is the range of iPhone apps available for this version. Most of the iPhone apps are available in the app store which is Apple’s home for all things related to iPhone apps.
Except not all iPhone apps are in the app shop, and this is demonstrated very well by a little application called iPling that I found on its own site. This is the only place from which you can get it.
So what is iPling? It’s a social networking application. Big deal! You say. “I’ve got facebook!”. Yeah, well so have I. And I like it a lot. What iPling brings to the party though is a social networking application purely designed for use with the iPhone.
Users of iPling can connect to one another (or ‘reach out’ as it’s called) via SMS. Where the developers have to be careful here is in the personal privacy of users but it seems they’ve thought of this (not surprising as this is a slick app) and all SMS messages are sent anonymously.
