Home Based Business Dreams to Reality
I love being successful and I strive to be so at everything I do. I’m not always 100% sure what being successful means, though, and it’s always useful to have some measure or metric with which to measure my ’success’ or otherwise. I have a home business and I think it’s pretty successful.
Dreams are very nice. I used to dream of a nice car, a nice house, plenty in the bank to cover retirement and enough cold, hard cash to send my kids to the best colleges. Dreams are not always a very good way to measure how you’re doing in your home based business, though. For a start dreams are completely subjective and they’re fluid. Once you’ve got something you’ll find yourself wanting so much more. Dreams are good, but you’ve got to keep them in perspective. A home business needs real goals with real metrics.
On the other hand material objects are easily measured and, in some cases, this can be a very useful metric. It is not the be all and end all, though, and it is useful to have some other means with which to gauge yourself. If you say to yourself “I want to do this until I have a Ferrari” then so be it. I guarantee, though, that your home business won’t stop once you’ve got that red monster.
