Ares. If you speak a language other than English that is. These spellings come from Greece and Latin America respectively. Areas is an interesting one because it is such a common English spelling. There is a wider spread of people using this spelling (wider than just Greece, I mean) and I suspect that the A is just a little to close to the S on many keyboards!
