1024X768 wallpapers are design for desktop computers with a 14″ or 15″ monitor. At 1024 by 768 resolution, you will get a smaller image than say on a screen with 19″ and you may end up streching the background. Since your desktop background is the first thing you see when you start your computer (a part from the Windows logon screen logo), its important to have a beautiful image/picture as your desktop wallpaper. A good desktop background sets a good mood.  Below is a list of 1024X768 wallpapers:

High Quality, good resolution 1024X768 wallpapers for your desktop background. Since I have changed my monitor to a larger LCD (TFT) version, I would not be able to personally enjoy this collection. However, I believe somebody out there could use a good wallpaper. To use the wallpaper, click on the download link (a new window will appear) and right click on the image, select “Set As Background” and you can notice a change on your desktop.
